"Going organic" can be a little bit daunting. It is all well and good to decide to avoid preservatives and chemicals in your skincare in principle - but once you start looking on the back of packaging it becomes obvious that it is pretty hard to get away from those chemical nasties and all the secret ingredients they hide under the word "parfum".
When Nat decided to go organic, she started making her own skincare and candles. However, we are aware not everyone has the time to do that - and we'd obviously like you to support Nat in her creating endeavours! Wonderfully for you, we now have a whole range of entirely natural skincare products that are organic and don't contain any nasty hidden ingredients.
This Christmas we decided to put some of our best selling Nathalie Bond products into one gift box, so if you want to "go organic" all you need to do is buy this box and you'll have all you need to get started. Here's how we use the various products...
1. Peppermint + Eucalyptus Liquid SoapMost days begin with a rinse under the shower and the Peppermint + Eucalyptus Liquid Soap brings a blast of fresh mint to an early morning soak. Due to the fact all the ingredients are natural and super gentle, it works well as a face wash too. Some of the NBO team have even used it as a shampoo. So, you can hop in the shower and meet all your cleaning needs with one bottle.
2. Bergamot + Ylang Ylang Body ScrubBlended with organic sugar, cranberry seeds and orange essential oil, the Bergamot + Ylang Ylang Body Scrub is great at exfoliating and getting rid of dry skin. Once you have cleaned yourself up with the Liquid Soap, grab the Body Scrub for extra nourishment - either on your body or your face. We tend to use it every other day - you don't need to go mad on exfoliation - that will only irritate skin.
3. Rose Geranium + Patchouli Skin BalmA beeswax-based moisturiser, the Skin Balm sinks deep into the skin and softens after a shower. We use this on dry patches and our faces, morning and night every single day. Cream-based moisturisers contain a lot of water, which requires the addition of chemicals and preservatives to keep them fresh (plus the addition of water to skin can actually dry it out). We prefer this natural beeswax, essential oil, apricot kernel oil, calendula and jojoba oil blend.
4. Sweet Orange Lip SalveOnce your morning routine is done, pop a lip salve in your pocket for a bit of added moisture on lips throughout the day. Also blended with beesewax, the Sweet Orange Lip Salve contains thick Castor oil, so it can lock-in moisture and protect skin against environmental toxins and harsh weather conditions.
