The less is more approach that we adopt at Nathalie Bond can still see our customers feeling a little confused if they have come from a more complicated approach to skin care. So, this blog post is intended to help break down easily how to use our range for your day to day facial skincare needs.
In basic terms we believe you need a:
Our 3-step face care kit is a great place to start if you are looking for simple pick up to get started with. And our blog on why we use oil not cream will help you understand oil-based skincare.
The only element we don’t provide in our range is a make-up remover, but we like to use our own skin balms, pure coconut oil or olive oil on a cotton wool pad to remove make up before commencing the 3 steps below -
Step 1 After removing make up, you use the bloom soap block (or one of our alternative soap bars) to cleanse the face. The liquid soaps are also able to be used on the face, but we find the soaps blocks are richer in oils and butters and are more suitable for the face. You then dab the skin with a dry towel leaving some moisture.
Step 2 Spritz face with the Bloom rose mist. When we are thirsty we drink water – same goes for the skin. It needs to be fed water daily to keep our hyaluronic flow stimulated then when our skin needs moisture it produces oil. By combining the mist and face oil you have all you need to give your skin the lift it needs. Additionally, when skin feels tight or tired in the day, give it another spritz of the rose mist to give it a pick me up. Do remember to drink lots of water too!
Step 3 After cleansing and toning, gently massage a few drops of the face oil onto your face, neck and décolletage with your fingertips. The easily absorbed facial oil helps minimise the appearance of fine lines and leaves skin feeling softer and smoother. We recommend our face oil for facial moisturising as we use richer oils in the ingredients and also don’t add essential oils which can be an irritant to some of our customers. However, if you prefer to use a scented oil on your face, it is perfectly safe to use any of the other oils we sell on the face. Our skin balms can also be used on the face, and have been a great hit with customers who struggle with more problematic skin or become more suitable in the winter months when skin can become more flaky and dry and enjoys deeper nourishment.
In regard to which scent to go for, it’s a matter of preference and what you are after.
Our scents are broken down here and will help you understand what each scent range is good for. In general terms, for face specifically, the Bloom range works well for older skin, the gentle range works well for problematic skin, and the glow/revive range is great for invigorating skin –

Hi, I have been reading about your products and am very interested in purchasing but would like some advice on what you would think is best for my skin. I have been using an eye cream that contains retinol and my eyes lids have swollen with red dry patches so have stopped as of yesterday using this cream, these are dermalogica products and now put off using the other products. I think I need to go back to basics, stop using high end products with a hefty price tag that seem to aggrevate my skin. What would you recommend me to use from your products, you do not do any eye cream but maybe I would be fine with the gentle range. Your comments would be most welcome. Kind regards Teena Walters
I love this post, I’ve always wondered what to do in the right order and why, you’ve explained it clearly here. Lovely to see you now have a blog, I’ll be working my way through each post. Rebecca – Glutarama.
