Autumn, the season of transition, arrives with a quiet but undeniable beauty that captivates the heart and senses.

In a world of awful fraction, international conflict, crime, war, and so much sadness, we so very much need to savour how in this season the sunlight takes on a golden hue, casting a warm glow upon the world. The trees, in their grand finale, display a breath-taking array of oranges, reds, and yellows, creating a stunning masterpiece of impermanence. The crunch of fallen leaves underfoot and the crispness in the air remind us of the season's ephemerality.

Autumn invites us to release the old, much like the trees shedding their leaves. We thank Autumn for reminding us that not all things last, and to savour the simple pleasures: the taste of freshly picked apples, the sight of geese flying south in formation, and the sound of rain tapping gently on the windowpane. It's a time to gather loved ones around the hearth, to share stories, and to express gratitude for the abundance and give thought to the scarceness of the year.
